NFL Week Five
The NFL rolls on, and week 4 had no shortage of action. There was Brett Favre (unfortunately) looking very impressive, there was Sanchez (unfortunately) looking human, and then there was Braylon Edwards who committed Cleveland treason by messing with Lebron and (fortunately) is now is Jets bound. Seems like all you have to do to get off your terrible NFL team is take a swing at the entourage of your city’s biggest sports star. Albert Pujols watch out, Steven Jackson has your number.
As week 5 gears up the action looks a bit lackluster, but we are going to find the silver lining and pick you out the best match ups at the liveliest bars. Take a look -
Cincinnati @ Balitimore -
(Sunday, October 11th - 1 pm) - The Bengals have won three nail biters and are coming into the game even with the Ravens. If this game is anywhere as exciting as the Bengals previous wins, this will be the best thing on at 1 pm. Especially since all the other early games should be runaways.
Take a shot - Whenever you get upset that you didn’t pick up the key Bengals for your fantasy team.
Where to watch - Phebe’s - 359 Bowery - This bar plays host to both Bengals and Red Sox fans, so it should be at capacity on Sunday Morning. Get there early.
New England @ Denver -
(Sunday, October 11th - 4:15 pm) - Denver faces off with it’s toughest competitor yet. I’m sure I will hear that they were impressive against the Cowboys, but they are neglecting one thing: The Cowboys aren’t good. Also, THROWBACKS!
Take a shot - Whenever they call a penalty which was created specifically for Tom Brady.
Where to watch - Pat O’Briens - 1701 2nd ave - This bar is New England to the core, which means you have a 30% chance of seeing a fight.
New York Jets @ Miami -
(Monday, October 12th - 8:30pm) - Football King/President/Jesus has been dethroned/impeached/umm…
Take a shot - Whenever Tony Kornheiser screams about the “feud” between Channing Crowder and Rex Ryan.
Where to watch - 3rd and Long - 523 3rd ave - Opens early, closes late, drink specials, surrounded by quick food, what’s not to like?
