The Lookahead: November 14-15, 2009

College Football: November 14, 2009

1. "How does this keep happening?" How is it possible that every November, OSU is again on the verge of the Rose Bowl?

2. "Google Brian Kelly for me" You'll need to know that name once Dave Wannestedt puts the final nail in Charlie Weis' ND coffin -- assuming that nail isn't there already.

3. "Traps everywhere!" Mississippi State hasn't played terribly this season -- they kept the Florida game close. They could hang with Bama for a bit. Spurrier's Gamecocks have looked awful the last three weeks, but you know they get hyped for Florida in town. TCU is trying out new uniforms vs. Utah -- always a dicey proposition. Beware these contests.

4. "California Girls..." (sing it): Flock to Matt Barkley (you know him) and Andrew Luck (who?). The latter is the QB of Stanford. He's better than Barkley in many statistical respects. No joke.

5. "Speaking of this Brian Kelly dude..." Cincy has an underratedly-tough game against WVU on Friday night. Go get it, Bearcats.

NFL: November 15, 2009

1. Tom vs. Peyton, here we go again: The NFL's two best QBs (sorry, Drew, Phil and Ben) knuckle up, but you'll need to stay up to watch it.

2. DeMarcus Ware goes feasting: Seen the Packers' O-line this season? Not pretty.

3. V-Jax and D-Jax: Vincent Jackson and DeSean Jackson, two of the better deep-ball threats in the whole league, in the same game out in SD when the Eagles and Chargers collide.

4. Take AP and CJ in fantasy if ya can: Um. AP runs against the Lions. CJ (Chris Johnson) runs against the Bills. Go the :38 mark here:

5. Carson goes for it again: Bengals and Steelers. Ended dramatically last night. Can C-Money do it again and run Cincy to 7-2? Let's see, shall we?
