Where to Watch the 2010 Twenty20 Cricket World Cup
- By Murali on Wednesday, May 12, 2010
This isn't your father's (or grandfather's) game of cricket.
Most people associate cricket with long drawn out games that take multiple days and many cups of tea. Not Twenty20 cricket. Its a fast-paced, high scoring game where little mistakes make big differences.
For those of you new to cricket, Where We Watch will be here to guide you through all the fours and sixes.
The 2010 World Cup takes place a bit south of here in the Sunny West Indies. The two semi-finals are two classic Western Imperialistic matchups pitting England against Sri Lanka and Australia against Pakistan, giving us the potential for a rematch of last year's ICC World Championship between Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
Thursday, May 13 - 10:30am - England v Sri Lanka
Friday, May 14 - 10:30am - Australia v Pakistan
Sunday, May 16 - 10:30am - Final - Teams TBD

If you go upstairs to the restaurant, you may think that this is another prissy European bar. Don't let that confuse you. Go downstairs to the creek bar and you'll see a bar straight out of the Outback.
20 West 38 Street (Between 5th Avenue and 6th Avenue)
This bar is solid. They love cricket and have great bar food.
