This joint calls itself a "Jets bar," which most places in New York could reasonably say -- but in all honesty, it's typically pretty packed for football on Sundays (and increasingly so on Saturdays, where they appear to have taken on the rabid Crimson Tide faithful). A lot of young NYC'ers seem to put birthdays here (it is spacious, and drinks are comparitively cheap, plus it's essentially in the middle if you have outer borough/UWS/UES friends), so on Fridays and Saturday nights it's pretty crowded. If you're looking for an experience where you get audio, can focus on a game, etc. -- this isn't your jam, necessarily. You'll have a bunch of TVs on, but it's going to be an intense young people experience. Now, if you're looking for a place where you can casually glance at an LSU or Giants game and maybe make a new friend with benefits, well then, sure...
