2009 French Open Men’s Final

As with so many other sporting events this summer (read this and this), this is not exactly the Men's Final at Roland Garros that we were expecting. With Rafa Nadal's crushing upset in the fourth round to Robin Soderling, Sunday's match won't offer the hype of the past few Nadal/Federer finals. However, if Roger can get by Juan Martin del Potro on Friday, against whom he is currently undefeated, he should have a clear path to the elusive career Grand Slam and tying Pete Sampras for the most career Grand Slam wins. More importantly, he may regain some much needed confidence which will pave the way for a fabulous rematch at Wimbledon next month. We can't wait.

Where will we be watching?

Playwrights Irish Pub, a Where We Watch favorite, is generously opening their doors at 9:00am for the start of the match. We hope to see you at the bar!
